Founder & Owner of Stella Home Builders
Zach Stella grew up swinging a hammer beside his father on job sites across Western North Carolina. By the time he was 15, he could re-roof a small home on his own. After earning his general contractor’s license at 22, Zach set out to build a business that focused on craftsmanship, honesty, and accountability—values he felt were missing in the industry.
In 2009, he founded Stella Home Builders right here in Asheville, NC.
Since then, Zach has personally overseen more than 4,000 roofing, siding, and window projects. He still visits job sites weekly and makes it a point to meet with clients whenever possible. Every member of his crew is fully vetted, trained in-house, and expected to meet the same high standards he set on day one.

Community Roots:
Zach lives in Arden, NC with his wife and two kids. When he’s not working, you’ll find him coaching youth baseball or hiking trails in Pisgah with his dog, Tank. His commitment to local families runs deep—and it shows in every project Stella Home Builders takes on.
